Now that we have placed first at the Washington State SkillsUSA competition we have the opportunity to further compete at the national competition held in Atlanta Georgia. We need your help to fundraise $6000 by June 23rd.

Game Play

Culinary Conquest is a cooking RPG (role-playing game) with top down action gameplay mixed with a turn based system with minigames focused on the cooking process. In our game you are in a culinary contest that is suddenly taken over by an other-worldly ruler called Carne Conquistador.  This pink pig villain takes the entire city to his strange world which is filled with food themed landscapes and creatures called foodles.  The ruler sets you and the rest of the contestants on an adventure to become the culinary king where you must defeat the foodles for their ingredients which you will use to bake and cook dishes.

Sebastian Najar

Working on "Culinary Conquest" I brought the game to life through art. As the primary artist, I've poured my creativity into crafting nearly all the artwork, including the entire city scene. But my contributions didn't stop there. I took on the challenge of assembling the scene in Unity, meticulously placing every element to ensure a seamless and captivating environment. Adding a touch of realism, I sprinkled the cityscape with tiny details like pigeons, random trash, and even a soccer ball for players to interact with, enhancing the overall immersion and gameplay experience. It's been incredibly rewarding to see my artistic vision come to fruition within the game, and I'm thrilled to continue pushing boundaries in its development.

Isaac Miller

Working on "Culinary Conquest" I played a pivotal role in development. With a focus on programming and art, I've contributed extensively to shaping the game's mechanics and aesthetics. Starting with the art and ideas for enemies, then to fully implementing them, I've strived to create an immersive experience for players. Balancing the technical aspects of programming with the creative elements of art and game design has been both challenging and rewarding. It's been fulfilling to see how my contributions have helped bring the game to life, and I'm excited to continue pushing boundaries in our development journey.

Luke Twiss

Working on Culinary Conquest I had a focus on programming, particularly in refining character movement. It was a challenging yet fulfilling task to ensure that players could navigate the game seamlessly. By tweaking algorithms and mechanics, I aimed to create a smooth and immersive gaming experience. This project allowed me to merge my passion for programming with my love for gaming, resulting in a satisfying journey of development.
